claiming this for my family

As my strength fails...God carries me. He gives direction and power. All I need to do is love him...trust him and call on his name. He is my refuge. He brings people into my life who will guard me and protect me as well. As I become weak...I am strong in him. He guards me from those who bring hurt to me. He covers me with his love. I am not afraid of harm or disaster. His angels guard me and satisfy my needs.

Psalm 91
He who dwells in the shelter of the most high
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.
Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you make the Most-High your dwelling...
even the Lord, who is my refuge...
then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
"Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

I took the kids down by the river about a month or so ago and we flew some paper airplanes. Easton had a blast...going to have to do that more often.

I think G is trying to figure out what in the world we're doing...

E is ready to take flight!

This face and hair cracks me up...can you tell he's enjoying himself?

G...still trying to figure out what we are doing and how she can join in the fun.

This girl makes me laugh! I'm not even going to tell what made her laugh, but E and I were rolling!

I pray I can teach my children to ALWAYS look up. He has the answer to everything...He is the answer to everything!

Isaiah 40:28-31
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary,
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

party time...excellent!

I hope everyone had a good time because I know E really enjoyed having everyone here for his party. Thanks to everyone that could make it and for all the great gifts! It's so fun seeing his little personality change a little each year. Of course everyone that was at his first birthday got to witness the big cheese on his face as everyone sang happy birthday to him...this year he tried to hide behind a balloon. He loves being with all his cousins...who he calls his friends and was excited about each and every present he opened (even the clothes). What a great day! Wish I could some how stop this kid from growing!!!

This cake was made by Sugar Rush in Charleston. It ended up being a monster and I loved it! I wish I could have videoed E when he came down the steps to see it...he was ecstatic!!! It wasn't only an adorable cake but delicious as well...she did an awesome job.

some shoes just like Daddies...you can see how much he loved them

Some fun...NOT in the sun. No sun in sight but thank goodness it was at least warm enough for the kids to get out and have some fun.
Charlee and Braxton enjoying their drive.

Next years birthdays...you can just take your good ole time!!!

toddler no more...

He's almost 3! Can't hardly believe it! It seems like yesterday when he was born. So much has happened this past year (E lost someone very special and dear to him and also had to get used to having someone extra around...Sissy). He has become a kid. Not a 2 year old toddler anymore, but a 3 year old boy. He is still that constant ray of sunshine in our lives and every once in a while seems to really enjoy himself testing us as parents. About 90% of the time I can do anything with him or take him anywhere and he is a complete angel! He loves music (extremely loud music)...loves to dance and STILL loves cars. I would have to say his favorite person is Daddy. Every evening before bedtime he ends up crying saying he misses him. He doesn't give Daddy attitude...doesn't argue with Daddy (dang-it...why me?!?!) and I can tell worships the ground Daddy walks on. Maybe that's why when Daddy told him he wanted some pictures of him in his hard hat...he was eager to please. His vocab is full force and growing (sometimes not a good thing...but I guess the only ones to blame for that are the adults in the house :)

Of course the Momma of this 3 year old boy doesn't have the best words to describe him. He is OUT OF THIS WORLD! My love for him is OUT OF THIS WORLD! HE TAKES MY BREATH AWAY!!!

Just had to show what Daddy was letting G do while I took pics of E...HER OWN THING!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OUR PRECIOUS BOY...WE LOVE YOU!!!
